iPhone 4S Set to Launch in Russia and Taiwan Next Month

Apple revealed its new iPhone 4S back in September, while it was officially launched on October 14th. On the launching event, Apple showed its determination to launch the device in over seventy countries before the year ends. Initially, the device was launched in United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, France, Australia and Japan. According to Apple, the device saw first day sales of over 1 million, while 4 millions sales were recorded until launch weekend.

Since its release, Apple has launched its iPhone 4S in over forty countries. Now the recent reports suggest that iPhone 4S is now coming to Russia and Taiwan – good news for iPhone fans in both countries. This has been confirmed by sources closed to carriers in both regions.

Quoting President of Major Mobile Retail Chain Euroset, Alexander Mali, Russian Prime News Agency says that iPhone 4S sales will commence somewhere between December 5 and December 21. The Retail Chief stated that two official Russian distributors including MTS and VimpelCom will start receiving shipments after December 4th, while sales will start on next day after stock is received.

A telecommunication market source told the Central News Agency in Taiwan that iPhone 4S will arrive in the market somewhere in the mid of December. According to the source, only one of the three top telecom carriers in the region will let customers to register at retail stores to get updates on the status of the Apple’s handset device. Like previous launches, pre-orders will start a week earlier before the device is launched for public sale.
