Nokia is reportedly planning to launch a new Windows 8 Tablet by the June 2012, which hoped to follow by high-end versions of the recently introduced Lumia 800 and 710. This has been told by head of Nokia France Paul Amsellem.
While giving an interview to a French newspaper LesEchos, Amsellem said, “(Lumia 800) is just the equivalent of the BMW 5 Series. We will soon have a full range with a Series 7 and Series 3.”
If the reports are true then we can assume that the mid-range Lumia 710 would become an equivalent of BMW’s Series 3, however, the high-end slot in Nokia’s Windows Phone lineup still needs to be filled by a forthcoming device.
Talking about tablet, Amsellem expressed that Nokia has plans to release a new tablet running Windows 8 by the mid of next year. This statement is pretty interesting as Windows 8 is yet to be released sometime in 2012 where the exact time is not clear.
He didn’t reveal much about the upcoming tablet. Though, it is a good news indeed both Microsoft and Nokia are working in close association with each other and whenever Microsoft is intended to come with a latest version of mobile or desktop operating system, Nokia is always there to provide a suitable piece of hardware.
