Microsoft Sold Over 1.7 Million Xbox in November

The projections and estimates made by analysts are always skeptical. Earlier this month, analysts assumed that Microsoft may have sold 1.44 million Xbox in November. However, Microsoft’s Xbox has done far better than the estimates. The software giant while quoting the NPD group said that it has sold more than 1.7 million Xbox 360s in the United States alone in the month of November.

Undoubtedly, Microsoft’s Xbox is doing far better than expected by analysts. This is obvious from the fact that the actual numbers of Xbox sold last month which is clearly greater than the estimates.

We have heard time and again that the next generation Xbox console is going to be announced at E3 next year. This will put ‘end of life’ to the current model, the 360 early next year. The current figures show that how popular the device is and how long the lifespan of the current generation consoles has extended.

Here, we cannot ignore the vital role played by Kinect that help rejuvenating the Xbox range. As soon as it launched, it became one of the fastest selling consumer devices of all time. According to Microsoft, it sold around 750,000 Kinect sensors during the Black Friday week.
