Nokia Updates its Maps 3D

Nokia has recently announced on its blog that it has updated its 3D map service, Nokia Maps 3D. The update has added navigation, sharing, new search options and many more new features.

Found at maps.nokia.com, you will be able to get 3D imagery of 25 cities of the world including: Barcelona, Berlin, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Milan, New York, Rome and San Francisco with Nokia Maps 3D.

In order to see the 3D version of the map, what you need to do is install a browser extension and restart your browser. Nokia 3D imagery brings a spectacular view of an image when you zoom in or zoom out into any particular image. Nokia is hoping to include more cities into its map service in the future.

The search function has also been improved. You can not only enter addresses, but also search for businesses and other points of interests by entering the names. The service will display search results with details including pictures, reviews, business hours, specials and ratings.

With the recent update, you can navigate through maps while being on foot, on car or public transportation. Moreover, the update will enable you to share any route or place with your friends through email, Facebook or Twitter.
