‘You’re not following Someone You Are?’ is a Bug

Twittersphere has recently been experiencing a bug that has annoyed a good number of people on the network. Despite the fact that you are following an individual on the network, this bug makes you feel or it demonstrate itself in such way to make you realize that you are not following an individual.

Twitter has recently acknowledged this fact that the bug does exist and a team of engineers is working to address the problem. You can easily notice the bug while visiting your ‘following’ tab and there you will find one of the individuals having a ‘+Follow’ button appearing next to the name rather than ‘Following’ checkmark.

Luckily, the bug is in fact visual in nature and by visiting the related person’s profile you will get to know that you are actually following the person. Twitter says that its team is working hard to resolve the issue and also ask its users to help us by leaving a comment on the Help Center with your username, the names of the accounts that are bugged along with most recent interaction that you just have had.

A careful observation will give you a hint of current situation with talks you heard earlier about Twitter ‘automatically unfollowing’ people without user permission. Something similar is happened here at the moment as well. This means that problem is not new and has been there for few months, but there is seen a revival in the talk about this issue in recent times.

Note: If you are confused about ‘Twittersphere’, it is a newly coined word.
