Google Releases Google Chrome Beta, More Secure and Faster

Google has recently released a new beta version of its web browser Chrome. The new beta version of the browser is even more secure and faster.

Google on its official Google Chrome blog said that the new beta release of the Chrome browser version 17.0.963.26 beta-m achieves its additional speed by “loading some Web pages in the background, even before you finish typing the URL in the omnibox.”

Moreover, the search giant said that the Chrome beta will provide an additional protection against malicious websites and their malevolent downloads. Dominic Hamon, Software Engineer at Google said on the official Chrome blog post that the current beta version has “expanded functionality to analyze executable files (such as “.exe” and “.msi” files) that you download.” On any intrusive activity, users will be warned by the browser that they should discard the file. He further said that the Chrome will become even smarter in the coming months with more powerful defense against even strong malicious files.

We have downloaded the Chrome beta and tested it. It is certainly faster, and downloads and installs files without any problem. So far so good – it is stable until now. Chrome address window known as ‘omnibox’ keeps all the searching and URLs appear in the Chrome. It seems to work faster as well.

We will continue to test the new Chrome beta to see whether we come across any bug or other related issues. Chrome has recently beat Firefox to become the world’s second most popular browser, while Chrome 15 has recently became the world’s most popular browser after beating Internet Explorer 8.
