iPhone 4S Coming to China and 21 Additional Countries Next Week

The international rollout of the Apple’s latest iPhone 4S handset continues. The device has already launched in several countries where it is warmly welcomed by the masses. Now the Cupertino Company has announced that it is bringing its iPhone 4S to China and 21 additional countries on Friday, January 13th. The iPhone 4S is currently available in almost 68 countries and with the forthcoming rollout the numbers will rise to 90 countries.

It seems that this time again Apple is going to announce its device with its old-time partner China Unicom as there are not reports yet suggesting that Apple is expanding its operations to the world’s largest carrier, the China Mobile.

“Customer response to our products in China has been off the charts,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “With the launch in China next week, iPhone 4S will be available in over 90 countries making this our fastest iPhone rollout ever.”

Along with People’s Republic of China, the iPhone 4S will be released on January 13th in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Guam, Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and Uganda.

China has long been a potential market for Apple. The company has already seen a continuous growth in the market over each quarter. During the last earning call, CEO Tim Cook said that when it comes to China, “the sky is the limit.”

Apple has also announced that it will hold its financial earnings call for the year 2011 holiday season later this month on January 24th.
