The Nokia Lumia 900 and The Ace are Same

We have encountered a lot of reports regarding Nokia upcoming Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Ace. Until now, we were not clear whether these are two separate devices or the two names given to a single device. What we have come to know that Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Ace are in fact same device. This brings an end to rapidly surfacing rumors and speculations.

To remind you, the Ace is an LTE enabled handset scheduled to hit US market via AT&T earlier this year. More than likely, Nokia will reveal this handset at CES and may also announce the formal launch date of the device. As for today, PocketNow revealed the claimed specifications for the Ace. Remember, from now on every mention of the Ace will also mean Nokia Lumia 900. The expected specs in the Ace are:

  • Instead of Tango, the handset will launch with Mango operating system.
  • A 4.3-inch WVGA display
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 8 megapixel camera
  • Will be unlockable to work on T-Mobile 3G
  • As thick as the Lumia 800

Its larger display clearly suggests that the handset is larger one. According to Nokia, the Ace is supposed to be a completely new, high-end handset, merging the specs of both Lumia 800 and the low-end Lumia 710. The intentions of Nokia with the launch of the Ace are to have a complete range of devices that the company can sell at a different price ranges. All we are waiting for the CES event.
