Apple Employee Claims Next Generation iPad Features a ‘Truly Amazing’ Display

It has been claimed by an Apple employee that the next generation tablet from Apple will be launched at an event early next month. The next generation iPad will be released with faster processor and an improved ‘truly amazing’ screen.

It has been broadly visualized that the Apple’s next tablet device is scheduled to launch in next few weeks. However, the New York Times reports that it isn’t clear yet whether the next iPad will be given the name iPad 3 or not.

New York Times Reports:

“An Apple employee said that the version of the new iPad that is being tested inside the company is “essentially the same size and shape as the iPad 2,” with an improved and “truly amazing” screen. The tablet will include a faster processor, said the employee, who did not want to be identified because Apple is not fond of leaks.”

The current round of speculations about next iPad is pretty similar to the one we had seen in case of ‘iPhone 5’ last fall that weren’t bear any fruition as Apple announced its latest smartphone as iPhone 4S. Interestingly, the early murmurs about its name and features “did not stop the iPhone 4S from helping Apple post record holiday sales.”

In addition to having faster processor and a ‘truly amazing’ display, the next generation iPad will be “essentially the same size and shape as iPad 2,” according to reports.

The first tablet device was launched back in 2010 and since then the Cupertino-based tech giant sold more than 55 million of the tablets that helped the company becoming the world’s largest producer of PCs by the end of 2011.

A good number of efforts has been made from time to time to give Apple’s tablet device a tough competition, but all of them failed to give it a true competition – Microsoft’s decade long Tablet PC, its 2006 Origami/UMPC project lead by Samsung, 2010 Windows 7 Slate PC that it partnered with HP, HP’s Palm webOS based tablet device, RIM’s PlayBook, Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb along with third party tablet devices running Android 2.x.
