Skype for iOS Updated with New Interface and Bug Fixes

If you are an iOS user and heavily relies Skype for communication, you will be pleased to know that Skype has been updated for your iPhone and iPad. Skype is no doubt a handy communication tool that you can use to interact with your friends, family and colleagues. With Skype, you can easily send messages or even make calls to people for free. The Skype for iOS makes it even easier and simpler for you to send or make calls while on the move using your iPhone or iPad.

Skype has recently updates its iOS app. One of the biggest changes that you will notice in the updated version is the redesigned chat interface and the dialpad. Also, Skype has made necessary improvements to make its iOS application more stable on Apple’s relatively new mobile operating system, iOS 5.

Interestingly, Skype has also introduced some visual improvements in its iOS app as well. The updated version will help you distinguish between users in instant messages by adding color to the main chat screen and a new bubble interface that distinguishes messages in accord with the sender.

Apart from fresher look, the dialpad keeps the same functionality features as it had in older versions. The previous rounded key buttons has been replaced with a full dark background that looks pretty identical to Apple’s own dialer.

Furthermore, Skype also claims that the updated version has addressed a number of problems causing stability issues on iOS 5, including app crash on launch. Skype also says that the updated version also improve its ability to run in background without causing any problem.
