iPad 3 Parts Assembled and Tested with Cases

It’s been quite some time that reports surfacing regarding different parts of the Apple’s new iPad 3. M.I.C. Gadget – the Chinese tech blog managed to get its hands on both a glass face piece and a rear shell, which it says belong to the new tablet and assembled them to build a replicate.

The tech blog after assembling a replicate shot some video of it and tested it with several third-party cases along with Apple’s own Smart Cover, confirming that it still works with the new casing, despite the fact that the slope of the edge has altered.

Furthermore, the tech blog used a dock connector part and confirmed that it straightened with the casing, but it is important to note here that none of these parts can be considered as legitimate. However, a lot of reports have revealed parts that are identical to the ones shown by the tech blog, pushes us to think that the next-generation iPad will somehow look like this.

The thicker back casing of tablet device must be noticed by you and its deeper angle along the edge. It seems that there is nothing fake about it, but we cannot even consider it an authentic one. It will however be something close to what we can expect to see on March 7th event planned by the Cupertino-based technology giant.

The blog also make some assumptions regarding the prices and features of the device, which were reported by 9to5Mac earlier. It is assumed that the price of the tablet will somehow be similar to what we have for the current iPad and also the new device will be offered both in white and black variants. Another noticeable fact is the presence of home button in this mockup, which majority of us believes that won’t be present in the original device, considering the image presented in Apple’s formal invitation.

The much rumored feature of the next-generation iPad is Retina Display, seems not to be presented here. We are just couple of days away from the Apple’s official event and anxiously waiting to see what Apple has for us in the box.
